Navigating new tech in the lab

I’ve been noticing a lot of shifts in lab technology lately, especially with advancements in automation and data analysis tools. For those of you who’ve recently integrated new systems, how has it affected your workflow? I’m particularly interested in hearing about any challenges you faced during implementation.

Integrating new automation tools can be a game changer, but I found it crucial to involve the whole team early on to address concerns and get buy-in. For instance, when we switched to an advanced data analysis tool, the initial resistance was a hurdle, but open discussions helped smooth the transition. How did you handle team engagement during your upgrades?

I’ve seen how new data analysis tools can really streamline workflow, but the initial setup drives me nuts — especially when they don’t integrate well with existing systems. It took us ages to get everything talking to each other after switching to a more sophisticated platform. Have you run into any specific hurdles with the new tech yet, @jflores?
